Where We Are

Our Location on the Gunflint Trail

Clearwater Lodge is on Minnesota's historic Gunflint Trail, a two lane paved road from Grand Marais, Minnesota to the headwaters of the BWCA.

A 2½ hour drive from Duluth, Minnesota on scenic Hwy 61.

From Grand Marais, head north on the Gunflint Trail (County Road 12,) you'll be traveling about 28 miles to the Clearwater Lake Rd. (County Road 66.) Take a right hand turn on County Road 66 and drive 4 miles until you come directly to Clearwater Lodge. Please use caution while driving, the road is windy and narrow in places and there may be moose on the road.
